Bringing New Life to a Classic Resort

Callaway Gardens has served as a destination for U.S. presidents, celebrities, and families alike since 1952. The resort, golf, and garden facilities have hosted national conferences, an international water ski competition, and a PGA Tour event as part of its rich history. In the wake of rising competition from newer resorts, Callaway Gardens desired a revitalization of the look and feel of the resort. The joint venture of Cousins Properties and Callaway Gardens sought the design team of Kuo Diedrich & Chi to create a new golf village for two existing 18-hole courses. The golf village includes a 10,000 S.F. LEED certified golf house, a lodge, and community of Earthcraft certified golf cottages. The village style was inspired by the original Callaway Gardens structures and continues the Callaway legacy by creating an environmentally sensitive golf resort. The result is a stunning resort that is unparalleled by competitors.
